BDV DataHider 3.1 — Flash Drives Supported

New version of BDV DataHider software contain one major improvement. After successful testing we have enabled support of FAT and FAT32 partitions. In addition to all unique features it makes BDV DataHider 3.1 best choise when you want to hide some files and folders on your flash drives.

BDV DataHider: Completely New

We just released new version of BDV DataHider 3.0 beta.

It is absolutely new software. We have made something unique and cannot wait for user feedbacks.

New version of BDV DataHider has user-friendly interface and is very easy to operate. You do not need to know anything about these bits and bytes to provide excellent protection for your data.

What is unchanged — main method of protection. Hiding of data is best protection, previous versiona of BDV DataHider proved it.

What was changed — everything. New Secret Storage technology allows you to create something like a virtual folder in any file or on NTFS drives. You may add files in it or extract them easily.

Another improvement is that we have made it portable. You do not need to install it, it can be used from flach-drive or even from CD. Program does no changes in Windows Registry, system files and folders.

User can select one of 6 strongest encryption algorithms to protect hidden data. If you know something about encryption, you will understand why we have used word "strongest": Blowfish, Twofish, AES (Rijndael), Mars, Cast-256 and Serpent — all with 256-bits keys.

Now we running beta-testing — many new features are planned after finishing.

BDV Notepad 5.2 released: Explanations

We just have released new version of popular text editor BDV Notepad 5.2 and I want to give some explanations.

We have not planned to continue development of BDV Notepad 5.x because of several reasons, and main of them is missing of native Unicode support. So, we have decided to rewrite it and release version 6.0 with many new functions requested by our users.

But we were unable to develop new version soon, so we have decided to release updated version of BDV Notepad using current engine, while the development of new engine is in progress.

We have made several very important changes.

First of all, there are improved Clipboard support. Yes, you will never have question marks instead of symbols when copy/paste non-English texts anymore! Also we have fixed issue with language file when moving BDV Notepad, so working with it from a Flash-drive or CD willl be much more comfortable.

This is not complete list, but you will really like these changes!

Now about new features.

Templates: just add any portions of text as a templates and you will be able to insert them into editor during editing.

SMS module: this toolbar makes BDV Notepad an excellent tool for editing of SMS messages. There are real-time statistics on number of symbols and messages when you typing. Even more: you will see border between SMS messages. When you type some symbols, they automatically reducing size of SMS message you may send, so we have created option to highlight such symbols — you will be able then remove or replace them.

And the last of most important new features is Transliteration, which is part of SMS module. You are able to select language from which you want to transliterate text and click a button — as easy as that! If you want, you may create your own table for transliteration for your native language and with your own preferences.

As always BDV Notepad is free and we (as well as all BDV Notepad users) will be gratefull for language and transliteration files sent to us. Version 6.0 coming soon...

New ScreenSaver Commander with new exciting features

Today Sept. 17, 2008 ScreenSaver Commander was updated. In this new release were added several outstanding features, requested by a lot of our users.

We have added ability to change screen-savers "on the fly". You may specify time, after which screen-savers will be changed. E. g. if you have 3 screen-savers in the list and specify 15 minutes in "Change every" field, first of them will be launched and played for 15 minutes, then it will be finished and next one started immediately. After 15 minutes of playing it will be closed as well and next one will play, and so on.

Another good option: you may specify individual playing-time for each screen-saver in the list!

Major Software Update

Today we have introduced major software update. Most of our software products were updated during the last month and today we have made all of them downloadable. Most changes was made in BDV Notepad and System ScreenSaver.
